Adopt or Foster a Dog

Pet Rescue is dedicated to providing cats and dogs with a second chance to find loving and safe homes.
Dogs currently available for adoption are featured below. New animals are added as they become available.
You can help! Please share their profiles, because every adoption makes room for another deserving pet.

Please be sure to check the status of the dog you may be interested in adopting.  The status of a particular dog will be one of the following:

  • Adoptable - Dog has not yet been adopted out to a family although there may be applications that are still in the process of being evaluated.  In addition, following approval the applicant will meet the dog with their family to make sure it is a good fit.
  • Adoption Pending - Approved applicant has scheduled a meet and greet with the dog and an adoption seems likely.
  • Adopted- Dog has been adopted but will continue to remain our website for a short period of time following the actual adoption.

Please come meet our adoptable dogs at our Meet & Greet, every Saturday from 11:30am - 1:30pm at Pet Rescue, 7 Harrison Ave, Harrison NY 10528. Please call us with any questions you may have about our sweet dogs: 914-835-3332

A little About Noviembre...

Noviembre was found sleeping in the grass alone. A good samaritan saw him...he came to her when called, and she knew she could not leave this beautiful boy there...and that was the beginning of Noviembre's new life. His foster mom says he is a very loving dog. This guy is 8 months old, housebroken and is as sweet as he is strikingly handsome. He is a good cuddler, great with other dogs, regardless of size, and all people. He is very food motivated, which makes him a perfect candidate for training. He is potty trained, and is respectful of furniture etc, is not a chewer and has no puppy destructive nature. He is a little hesitant with new people, bonds easily to one person and will do well in a quiet adult home. He walks nicely on the leash, is good in the car, and is food motivated which always helps with training. Noviembre becomes over stimulated in a busy house, so will do best in a calm home with no small children. This boy sounds pretty perfect. Be sure to complete an application on line, and come to our Meet & Greet Saturday 11:30-1:30.
