Mindy

Mindy is an adorable tabby with a cute pink nose. She fun, friendly, playful and outgoing.

Twitch

Twitch is a very charming girl, about a year old. She has a slight neurological disorder which causes her to tilt her head. Twitch now resides in a foster home but originally came from Yonkers where she was picked on by other cats - she is all around a very sweet kitty!

Courtney

Beautiful like a painting, Courtney is a lovely Tortoiseshell, about a year old and very sweet. She came to us by showing up at the workplace of one of our key volunteers (one smart kitty)who simply couldn't resist her. Courtney has the independent nature so prized in torties, but she gets along well with other cats.

Freddy

Freddy is an adorable kitten, born on 3-6-13 in a loving foster. He and his siblings are very friendly and playful. Freddy is one in a litter of six - with his siblings Fiona, Forrest and Felix yet to be adopted.

William

William is such a beautiful boy, and only about 1 1/2 years old. A bit shy, he enjoys human company, but also likes to be alone from time to time. With tender loving care, this gorgeous cat will come out of his shell and be a happy camper. William is in good health, loves to eat and play with water in his water bowl. Currently living in a home situation with two other cats, we feel he might do best as an only cat where he can be the apple of your eye.

Mandi

Mandi is a beautiful grey/white tabby, about a year old. She is very sweet with big gold eyes. She is such a ham for the camera - very playful, silly and friendly.

Snowflake

Snowflake (Siamese mix) is a charmer and a survivor This little beauty was found on a Yonkers street, after having been thrown off a roof by some cruel children. She suffered neurological problems from this horrible treatment, but this tough little lady has recuperated beautifully. She still has the "wobbles", though she always manages to get to wherever she wants to go, including the litter box. Her impaired nerve condition will not get worse. Snowflake is enthusiastic about people and loves to play -- especially boxing. In her foster home, Snowflake loves climbing the stairs. Come meet her and we know you'll want to take her home.

Sasha

Sasha is a 7 year old petite darling black cat with a bit of white to add some spice. She is very sweet and friendly, though a little shy at first. Sasha is declawed, spayed and fully vaccinated. The only reason this delightful girl needs a new home is her owner's young daughter has become very allergic. To meet Sasha, please contact kschulhof1@gmail.com.

Lisa

Lisa is a charming tuxedo cat for all you tuxedo fans. She is very sweet and loves to be tickled. This beauty was found on the bitter cold streets in this past January's snow storm. She is a true survivor. Lisa is in a great foster home where she gets along with other cats, dogs and kids.

Claudette

Claudette loves people and will run to greet you. She is a great hunter of toy mice and can climb to the top of her scratching post in a flash. This mischievous bundle of silver tabby fur loves attention, a warm lap and playing with her siblings (Kip and Kyra), also featured on the website. Claudette was born in late February 2013.

Jay

Jay (born in 2008) is a beautiful male black and white cat who is very sweet and friendly with humans. This handsome boy loves to be petted and brushed. He truly enjoys human contact, very people oriented, and is a fun cat to be around. Jay has a mellow nature and even disposition and will be a delightful addition to your family, as long as he is the only cat in the household.

Kyra

Kyra is a roly-poly of gorgeous silver tabby fur. She likes a rousing wrestling match with one of her siblings (Kip and Claudette, also on this website), yet can be a dainty little miss who carefully grooms herself. Kyra welcomes a good ear or chin scratch and enjoys chasing her feathers on a stick. A master of the silly side-ways hop, this sweetie will keep you laughing. She was born in late February 2013.

Boots

Boots is one fabulous marmalade cat, only about 1-2 years old! With that gorgeous red tabby coat, this cat is irresistible. Living in a foster home, Boots is getting lots of tender loving care, and good socialization, but would love a permanent loving home to call his own. Boots would prefer to be the only cat in the household, but plays well with the small dogs in his foster home. He also would do best in a household without small children.

Miss Holly

My name is Miss Holly. I am close to two years old. I became a mother last year on St. Patrick's Day. All four of my kittens have gone to their forever home. I was diagnosed during my pregnancy with the FIV virus, but fortunately, my kittens were virus free. I am very mellow and affectionate and a beautiful girl. If you want a pet who is a lap pet, that's me. I need to be the only kitty or may live with another kitty that also has the FIV virus. I am spayed and have all my vaccinations. Cheech and Chang

Cheech (tabby) and Chang (white with brown markings) are two very loving and outgoing 7-year-old cats that need a new home. These delightful boys are neutered, very healthy, indoor exclusively and up to date on all vaccinations. Very cuddly and loving cats, they love strangers, are great around kids and babies. Cheech and Chang are the most lovable characters! Their love of people and complete lack of skittishness around strangers is charming. The two boys can be adopted separately. Coraline

Coraline is an absolutely charming tabby & white two year old female, found on the street with a healed mouth injury (the top side lip of her mouth is missing and some of the gum and teeth are exposed). Coraline is being seen by a vet and is in good health, in spite of her old injury. She is very, very sweet, friendly and sociable. A real treat to be around. Coraline resides in a wonderful foster home where she gets along with the other cats, dogs and kids.

Connor

Connor has the luck of the Irish about him. He was found by a kind person while he was being mistreated by unruly kids that kicked him. He did not belong to anybody so they thought it was fun to torture him.
This 2 year old handsome black male is a friendly kitty who enjoys being held. If you're looking for a cat to pick up and carry around, consider Connor. He is unperturbed and adjusts easily to a new situation (you would never guess his past). He loves to sit in your lap and will just purr away till you have to get up. He is great with other cats and dogs too. He is a real special cat that will capture your heart if you give him a chance.

Mr. Tux

Mr. Tux - or "Chubbo" as he is affectionately called, is a sweet and easy boy who now resides with a foster family where he gets along well with their dogs and other cats. He is gentle and friendly and loves to cuddle up against you. A slightly older gentleman (about 5-6 years), he spent most of his life living on a sidewalk in front of a downtown bodega, and probably got too much kibble and not much exercise. He is losing some pounds in his foster home, and needs a forever home that will continue to control the portions.

Buffy

Buffy is a charming buff and white 2 year old male with a gentle, calm and sweet personality. Rescued from an autobody shop, Buffy resides in a great foster home where he gets along well with the other cats and dogs. This great boy would make a wonderful addition to a loving home. He is in excellent health and up to date with all shots.

Penelope & Kiwi

Penelope is a beautiful all black angora and Maine Coon mix. She is about 10. Adopted by her current owner as a kitten, she is spayed, front declawed and in excellent health. Penelope is the typical lap cat who loves to cuddle. Her favorite toy is her feather on a stick and she will bring it to you when it's playtime. Kiwi is a 4 year old pure bred cream and grey Himalayan with blue eyes. Not declawed, Kiwi is extremely affectionate, loves to sleep with her human, will follow you wherever you go and be your "shadow". Kip

Kip is one of the most beautiful kittens we've seen! Friendly Kip is stunning with his distinctive black stripes. One of the prettiest tabbies ever, he has a personality to match. Kip loves people and attention. He likes to tussle with his sisters (Kyra & Claudette, also on this website), chase toy mice and is fascinated by a ball with a bell inside. A happy little guy, Kip was born late February 2013.

Olivia

Olivia is a lovely, two year old tuxedo female, who is now a lonely lady. Once part of a family, she is affectionate and wants someone to hug and keep her safe and warm. Olivia would love to have a human to snuggle up to. This charmer is good with kids and gets along great with dogs, as well as with other cats. Sampson

Sampson, or "Sammy" as he is known affectionately, is a 11 year old black and grey striped kitty with white on his chest. Very healthy, neutered and up to date with all vaccinations. Sammy is very affectionate and responsive and loves to be rubbed on his belly. He loves to play with lazer lights and string. Sammy needs a new home because he is one of 2 cats still not adopted when his beloved owner recently passed away. Sammy now resides in a foster home waiting for a new loving permanent home to open up for him.

Trixie 2

Ashley is an 18 months old black/white tuxedo female. Fiesty and playful, Ashley was left behind in an apartment when her owner moved. This active, intelligent cat is in great health, up to date with all vaccinations and will make a fun addition to your household.

Forrest

Forrest is an adorable kitten, born on 3-6-13 in a loving foster. He and his siblings are very friendly and playful. Forrest is one in a litter of six - his siblings Fiona, Felix and Freddy are yet to be adopted.

Veronica

Veronica is a charming tortie/calico mix, who was rescued from under a porch, sick and with kittens. Now in splendid health, Veronica is very playful, fun and affectionate. Spayed and up to date with all vaccinations, Veronica will be a delight in your home.

Paula

Paula is the sweetest, friendliest cat you can imagine. She rolls over for belly rubs, brushes up against you and loves to cuddle. A true mush! To meet her is to love her. Paula is about 2 years old and gets along well with other cats. She once resided in a foster home where she became accustomed to dogs, as well.

Taffy

Our Taffy is 100% male and one handsome 5 month old kitty (born april 2011). White with a bit of grey, he is very affectionate, playful and super curious. Rescued from the streets, he now resides happily in a foster home with other cats, dogs and children. All he needs is a permanent loving home to call his very own.

Ochocinco

This well mannered 4 year old brown tabby male was found in an alley starving. With tender loving care, Ochocinco is now a plump and healthy little boy. We can tell he was once someone's pet, and he would certainly like to be back in a home to call his very own with humans who will care for him.

Grace

Grace is an adorable Torbie, very sweet and friendly, who loves to be petted. Rescued with her sister, Gina, she is a special kitty who would love to cuddle up to one very fortunate human.

Hannah

Hannah is one gorgeous torbie! That mix of tabby, tortie and calico is amazing. But this honey is not only beautiful, but has a warm and winning personality to boot. Hannah loves to be petted and will warm up to a friendly, tender touch in an instant. About 1 1/2 years old, Hannah gets along with other cats and we feel she will do well in a family.

Melody

Melody is a wonderful one year old tabby female, rescued froma hoarding situation. A super friendly feline, Melody will fit right in with other cats, dogs and kids. A good family companion.

Vanessa

Vanessa is a 10 year old Russian Blue female whose beloved owner lost her home and put Vanessa onto the streets to fend for herself. She is a very sweet and calm feline. Vanessa now resides in a great foster home where she is surrounded by other cats and dogs, and gets along with all.

Willow

Willow is a 3 year old adorable tabby, who now resides in a wonderful foster home where she enjoys the dogs and other cats in the household. She is very sweet and affectionate, and will likely be a true lap cat. Willow loves to be petted, and enjoys all the human attention she can get.

Ziggy

Ziggy is a warm and wonderful young male tabby, about 1 1/2 years old. Sweet and gentle, our Ziggy is a bit shy at first but responds beautifully to a soft touch. He loves to be petted and only wants to be your true feline companion.

Snoopy

Snoopy is a handsome black and white Tuxedo male, approx. 4 1/2 years old. Very friendly and affectionate, he would make an excellent choice for a single or a family. Snoopy resides in a great foster home where he gets along well with other cats and dogs. This kitty has the most engaging personality, that makes you just want to scoopy him up and give him a hug. Uma

Uma is a charming tabby and white female, and the mother of Tory (also featured on our website). Both Uma and Tory were rescued from the streets after their owner got a dog and no longer wanted the responsibility of cats. Uma is a sweet and loving lady who is now being fostered in a great foster home.

Rockie

Rockie is one handsome 9 month old tuxedo cat, rescued near Yankee Stadium. He is very friendly, loves to be around people and adores being petted. Rockie resides in a foster home where he gets along with the other cats present. Rockie is neutered, up to date with all vaccinations and in excellent health. Madrid

Madrid is a lovely one year old calico. Very friendly and sweet, she was rescued from a hoarding situation. Now this charming one year old is part of a small group of cats in a foster home receiving good care and ready for adoption. She is in great health and up to date with all shots.

Sache

Sache is a handsome brown male tabby, about 1 1/2 years old. He has distinctive tabby markings with a little bit of gold thrown in to add to his attractive appearance. This cat is alert, intelligent and very curious. He will make himself at home in a busy or different environment and has a great sense of play.

Felicity

Felicity, born in 2010, was rescued from a hoarding situation. This lovely, petite tuxedo will hang back a bit until she gets to know you, and then she blossoms into an active and friendly feline, who will make for a wonderful companion.

Krissy

Krissy is a pretty long-haired kitty. She is a little shy at first but is very sweet and is friendly with other cats. This is a gorgeous girl, but she is camera shy. She will bond with one person and be afraid of new people. She is around 2 years old.

Violet

Violet is one adorable kitty, very sweet and friendly with a cute little pink nose and pretty grey and white coat. This sweetheart came to us with her kittens, all who have been adopted. Violet loves people, enjoys being petted, and now it's her time to find a loving, permanent home.

Roz

Roz, long, with an elegant Egyptian profile, gets along with everyone and keeps busy playing with toys and enjoying window views if she is not rolling over to be stroked. She will make a loving family companion without being over demanding. Roz was brought to us late one night after being taken out of a cramped cage in a NJ pound where she was not going to be given a chance.

China

China is a very sweet, one year old white and grey female cat who was rescued from the streets and now enjoys life in a foster home, while she waits for a permanent loving home. China does well with other cats, dogs and kids.

Garfield

Garfield deserves his very special feline name. He is a great cat who would love to be your one and only cat in the household. This handsome orange tabby is warm and friendly to the humans in his life, with a delightful personality. With his gold eyes, cute little nose and winsome personality, he is a charmer. If you only want one cat in your life, meet Garfield.

Mika

Mika is an adorable girl with lots of personality. She is loving and affectionate, but she also has a handicap that needs to be taken into consideration. That is why we posted her video so you can make an informed decision to embrace this amazing girl and give her the loving home she deserves. She is about 1 year old and good with everybody, cats and dogs included, but we would like her in a home with older or no children due to her vulnerability.

Sneakers is a tabby and white two year old male with a super affectionate personality. Up to date with all vaccinations, neutered and in excellent health, Sneakers gets along with other cats.

Rosie

Rosie is a beautiful girl, about 5 years old. This sweetie came to Pet Rescue after her owner was evicted. She is a little shy and confused right now after losing her home but very sweet nonetheless. She would do fine in a home with other cats ( as long as they are not too bossy as that would overwhelm her).

Joy

Joy is a sweet and friendly marble grey female kitty who just loves to be tickled. Rescued from a hoarding situation, she is now being fostered and receiving the tender loving care she enjoys to live a happy feline life.

Sugar-Boy

This adorable little boy was found abandoned in a basement of a building with burns all along his left side. He has healed beautifully and is ready for his forever home now. He is about 8-10 months old and seems like he is not fully grown yet. He has a slight vision impairment, but it does not stop him at all and he gets around beautifully. He is great with other cats and dogs. We'd like him to go to an apartment type situation, since he keeps trying to escape through the doors and with his vision problem, that could be dangerous. He is a total love!

India

India is a simply gorgeous calico female cat, approx. 6 years in age. Her owner is devastated to give her up for adoption, but he recently got a job abroad for three months with possible extension, and does not feel he can bring India with him. She is a delightful cat with a sweet, gentle personality. Spayed and up to date with all her vaccinations, India will make a wonderful feline friend for a loving new owner. Joannie

Joannie is a charming, quiet lady with beautiful coloring, approximately 4-5 years old. This petite sweetheart is sweet, affectionate and warms to a gentle touch. She is in excellent health and up to date with all vaccinations, just waiting for her forever home.

Scarlett

Scarlett is a very sweet & adorable cat with big golden eyes. She is fine with other cats, and get along with dogs too. A little shy at first, if you have treats, she will follow you everywhere. This marvelous lady has a true sweet nature that comes through in no time at all.

Bacardi

Bacardi is a lovely short hair, grey and pink, declawed spayed female tabby, about 6 years old. This charmer loves catnip and can be quite entertaining when she's had a few sniffs. She loves to play with toys and laser pointers, and enjoys chin scratches and ear rubs. Bacardi will make a wonderful, quiet, loving companion in a home with adults. Bacardi is in excellent health, has had all her vaccinations and is regularly seen by a good vet. She now resides in a wonderful Pet Rescue foster home where she will be exposed to other cats and dogs.

Patty

Patty (born in 2008) is a beautiful tuxedo. This sweet, quiet girl was given up by someone who moved into a home that did not allow cats. She is friendly with all and is comfortable with other cats.

Rue

Rue is one adorable kitty who loves to be held and have his belly rubbed. A little shy at first, Rue is currently in a foster home where he is getting lots of tender loving care and learning all the social graces needed to become a wonderful family pet. Rue is neutered and in excellent health.

Bastien

Bastien is a 12 year old very handsome orange and white tabby, neutered and in good health (he does snore and needs ear drops now and then). Bastien is extremely loveable and affectionate. He loves to play with string and a stuffed squirrel he has. Bastien's owner recently passed away and he now needs to find a new loving home. Currently he resides in a foster home where he is getting lots of tender loving care until a new permanent home can be found.

Gucci

Gucci is one handsome gray and white tabby boy. This adorable kitten, now about 8 months old, is extremely affectionate and just loves to play. He resides in a foster home and his fosterer reports that he has no bad habits. Gucci is neutered, vaccinated and in excellent health. And what's more, Gucci gets along with other cats. Licorice

Licorice is a sweet, yummy black senior cat with a quiet personality, who loves to eat! She was rescued from the streets and adored by her elderly owners, who unfortunately have each passed away. Living in a temporary foster home for the past 6 months, our sweet lady (as sweet as the candy she is named for) needs to find permanent digs where she will once again be adored. Meet Sweet Addie from Long Island. This beautiful kitty was rescued from harm by a good soul who saw her being dumped on a Long Island golf course. With her big green eyes and huge heart, Addie is a special feline. She just loves humans, and deserves to be loved in return in a caring permanent home. We are in need of foster homes, especially for litters of kittens but also adult cats as well. We provide basic supplies, veterinary care, and guidance. You provide love and a warm home.
