Toby

Toby, a lively 2 year old, is a homebody and loves to play around wherever you are. She is especially interested in what you are doing on your computer. She divides her day sitting on your desk waiting to be petted, warming at the heat vent, and racing up and down the stairs. She loves to nip lightly so probably would not be good with very little children. She has a beautiful light rust and white coat and a lovely round head.

Gary

Gary is an adorable white tabby polydactyl (meaning he has an extra toe on his front paws). Not only is he handsome boy but friendly and sweet too!

Apollo, Atlas, Zeus

These three kittens are about 6 weeks old and have really long and velvety fur. all three are boys.

Sadie

Here comes Sadie, Harry and William's sister. This one and half year old jet black sweetheart has just learned to turn over and get her stomach rubbed. She is close to her brothers but within a few days of tender loving care, will become your close friend too. Sadie is gentle and affectionate - a true lady.

Peter's Kittens

4 adorable and colorful kittens, 2 male and 2 female. They are about 12 weeks old and just gorgeous!

Belinda

We can't decide if Belinda has a tabby or a tortoise coat. At any rate, it is a beautiful mixture of pale gray mixed with peach and is very soft. More important, Belinda, less than two years old, is terribly sweet and affectionate and she is good with everyone. She could not be a nicer companion. Belinda is on a special diet of DD to keep her regular so she must be fed separately from other cats in the family. Otherwise, perfect.

Prince Charles

Our Prince Charles just loves attention. This handsome Turkish Van cat and half year old boy is a real charmer - a true flirt. Playful and sociable as our his siblings, he enjoys other cats. Charles will be a marvelous asset in any feline friendly home.

Yvette

Who could leave a tiny kitten on the street? Guess you’d have to ask my original owners, because that’s where my foster family found me. They gave me lots of love and marveled over my shiny dark tortoise coat and crisp white markings. When I came to Pet Rescue I knew that I was among friends and fit right in from day one. They wonder how such a petite little girl—I’m not even a year old—has so much love to give! I get along other cats and just love people. I’d be a great addition to your happy home.

Julie

This is Julie. She's an independent 8 year old beauty who minds her manners and lets you know she wants attention. She's very attached to her friend Tony. Julie is a quiet and shy girl unless a can of tuna has been opened somewhere then she's one very friendly gal. The picture doesn't do her justice as her coloring ranges from black to blond with symmetrical markings and pretty white chest.

Kathy

Our Kathy (a/k/a Peekaboo) is a gentle, sweet and affectionate lady with bright eager eyes and beautiful Holstein white with black markings. Her large green eyes will win your heart, while her mellow personality will make her a fabulous feline companion in your home. Kathy loves to be stroked and will eagerly roll over for you to rub her belly. Kathy is one big female feline who gets along beautifully with other cats, but would also be content as the only pet in a household, be it a quiet home or one that bustles with activity.

Patty

A charmer, her beautiful eyes mesmerize and she loves to sit and watch as if she is trying to learn your business. Her coat is smooth and crisply divided into black and white as if carefully designed. Patty loves to have her back rubbed. She will nuzzle against you and purr non-stop . When her owner died she was put out on the street in Mt. Vernon. Now she is longing for a home of her own. If you have other pets, that will be fine with her.

Rolo

Rolo is a sweet little boy. He is about 9 weeks old and he loves to be held and cuddled. He is sweet and gentle. His mom was found in a zipped suitcase next to a dumpster in NYC. They were rescued by a kind gentleman who heard meowing. When he got the suitcase homed and opened it up he saw Rolo's mom and her 4 newborn kittens. He is the last of the litter and probably one of the cutest of the bunch.

Lucy

Lovely Lucy came to Pet Rescue when her owner moved into Senior Living and could not bring her seven year old feline friend with her. This warm hearted, kindly (medium-haired) calico will hang back at first and be a little bit elusive. But once she gets to know you, she will be your true, devoted companion.

Abigail

Abigail is a striking tortoiseshell with a warm personality and winning ways. A bit of a prima donna, Abigail would be best in a home where she is the only pet and can be the apple of your eye. You’ll find this torty an affectionate, smart feline who will enjoy being your companion for all seasons. If you love torty’s, Abigail has the looks and personality you are seeking.

Valentino

Valentino has a wonderful personality like his princely siblings who are Turkish Van cats. Like his movie star namesake, he is a suave, good-looking male who will make you swoon with delight at his friendliness, warmth and sociability. Only one and half years old, he will give a fortunate human many years of feline companionship.

Tony

Tony is a friendly 7 year. He loves to play with other cats, dogs and especially people. Loose socks are no match for this intrepid hunter.

Marlene

Marlene is sweetness itself. She purrs and loves to be held. Her family moved away, leaving this gentle cat to fend for herself on the street. She was lucky that a neighbor helped her out with a little food but they didn't take her in. Our rescuer found her crossing a busy street. Now she is sitting in a cage but what a waste! She could make someone so happy.

Prince William

Prince William is a slim, slight male Turkish Van cat who is big Harry's brother. But don't let the petite size fool you. This Prince is as playful as can be, very friendly with humans, bonds well with other cats and has lots of energy. You will delight in young William's antics and good-natured mischief.

Buddy

Buddy is one big handsome tabby with wonderfully large green eyes who came to us from the Bronx Woodlawn Cemetery. Relaxed and comfortable with people, he will win you over with his alertness, intelligence, curiosity and warm friendliness. He will be a true “buddy” to his human owner. Approx. 1 ½ - 2 years old, Buddy will definitely do best in a household as an only cat with no dogs.

Sun King

Sun King is a gorgeous, large, orange 2-year old male with a proud, sunny disposition who cuddles up to adults. This regal feline appreciates respect for his independent spirit. Friendly with other cats, neutered and up-to-date with all immunizations.

White Socks

White Socks, a little over a year old, is an elegant black and white tuxedo who takes every opportunity to sit on a lap. She is lively and eager to make friends with someone who will give her attention and time. She loves to be petted but sometimes gets so stimulated by petting that she nips gently. And she likes to play-box. The family who found White Socks wandering the streets on her own took her in and wanted to adopt her but their presiding cat attacked White Socks mercilessly. White Socks does not hide from other cats but does not bond with them. Her bonding is with people.

Maman

Though just a little more than 1 year old, Maman has already retired from motherhood after seeing her litter of six kittens grow and go to good homes. Now it's time for this small, shiny black beauty to be welcomed into a home she can call her very own. A bit shy at first, she loves to be stroked and will quickly seek your attention once she get to know you. Maman is lively, has a fabulous time playing with other cats and will make her human owner very happy.

Jessica

Jessica is a two-year old female, who with her brother Rocky was returned to Pet Rescue when one of her owners became very ill and could no longer care for them. This is one friendly and curious feline with beautiful tuxedo markings who enjoys the run of the house. She is comfortable with other cats and will fit right into a new household in a snap.

Prince Harry

Prince Harry is one big boy (Turkish Van cat) who was found with his four siblings at Petco in Mt. Vernon. One and half year old Harry is super sociable, very feline friendly and has cat friends everywhere. We know he gets along well with at least one dog. Harry should prove to be a wonderful family cat that will hold his own and make himself right at home in no time.

Lilly

Lilly was recently returned to Pet Rescue with heavy heart by her former owner whose marital situation no longer permitted him to keep her. He described this lovely tuxedo charmer as very sweet and affectionate, a true delight in his household. Adopted as a kitten from us, Lilly is 1 ½ years old and in wonderful health. All Lilly wants now is a new home and owner to call her own.

Dinky & Joey

Dinky and Joey, half-brothers with different mothers, are big beautiful bundles of tabby. They were flown in from California by a dedicated rescuer and supporter of Pet Rescue. Six years old now, they spent their lives in “horrid conditions” until they arrived here.

Dinky was immediately eager to make friends with us and loves attention but Joey who was terrorized by one of the cats he lived with took a little time to learn to trust us. He does now.

They must go to a home together. When Joey is afraid, Dinky comforts him by touching his nose with his own or lying with him. We think that Joey would be unhappy without his big brother.

All they need is someone ready adopt two cats. They need not be afraid that Joe and Dinky will need special care or nurturing. Dinky is very friendly and Joey is becoming friendly. They are both healthy.

Mama & Reeses

Beautiful Mama cat with her sweet look-alike kitten, Reeses would love to find a home together. Reeses was born on 8.10.07. Mama is a good mother and just as sweet as can be. Reeses is as playful and happy as any kitten could be. They've been around large dogs and are fine with them. Mama seems to love the dogs and rubs against them any chance she gets. Both are wonderful, social and loving kitties!

Andre & Alexei

These 2 tabby brothers look very similar, one has slightly darker stripes. They are a bit shy at first but will snuggle happily once they are comfortable. They are extremely playful and very sweet. They would do best in a home without young children.
