CAT ADOPTION DONATION:
Minimum adoption fee for kittens (too young to be neutered/spayed) is currently $80 + $60 for an initial total of $140. The $60 will be returned following receipt of proof that the kitten has been neutered/spayed at the appropriate age. The minimum adoption fee for most of our adult cats, or older kittens that have been neutered/spayed, is currently $80. The minimum adoption fee for adult purebreds such as Siamese, Persian, Himalayan and other “exotic” cats, including those of mixed breed that show the dominant characteristics of a purebred, may range from $100-$175.

The adoption fees for our not-for-profit organization are tax deductible and are used for rescuing and maintaining our felines until they go to their forever home.

Sampson

Sampson, or "Sammy" as he is known affectionately, is a 11 year old black and grey striped kitty with white on his chest. Very healthy, neutered and up to date with all vaccinations. Sammy is very affectionate and responsive and loves to be rubbed on his belly. He loves to play with lazer lights and string. Sammy needs a new home because he is one of 2 cats still not adopted when his beloved owner recently passed away. Sammy now resides in a foster home waiting for a new loving permanent home to open up for him.

Morgan

Morgan (sibling of Mars, also on this website) is a super sweet, very playful tabby, about 6 months old, who also loves to cuddle in bed with you. This boy is a prize! Both Morgan and his brother, Mars, reside in a foster home with other cats and dogs, and get along with all.

China

China is a very sweet, one year old white and grey female cat who was rescued from the streets and now enjoys life in a foster home, while she waits for a permanent loving home. China does well with other cats, dogs and kids.

Jenny

Jenny is an adorable, cuddly year old diluted calico (with a bit of Russian Blue) now living in a great foster home. This still very young cat (barely out of kitten-hood) already had a litter of kittens, all of whom were adopted. Her previous home then just tossed her aside. She lives with other cats and dogs now, kids too and would love a permanent home of her very own.

William

William came to Pet Rescue as one of a group of five kittens left at a Petco store. This spunky grown-up cat with Turkish Van markings is fun to be around. About 5 years old now, William would be happiest in a small home environment or apartment. He is good natured, very curious and a true gentleman.

Rue

Rue is one adorable kitty who loves to be held and have his belly rubbed. A little shy at first, Rue is currently in a foster home where he is getting lots of tender loving care and learning all the social graces needed to become a wonderful family pet. Rue is neutered and in excellent health.

Felicity

Felicity, born in 2010, was rescued from a hoarding situation. This lovely, petite tuxedo will hang back a bit until she gets to know you, and then she blossoms into an active and friendly feline, who will make for a wonderful companion.

Buffy

Buffy is a charming buff and white 2 year old male with a gentle, calm and sweet personality. Rescued from an autobody shop, Buffy resides in a great foster home where he gets along well with the other cats and dogs. This great boy would make a wonderful addition to a loving home. He is in excellent health and up to date with all shots.

Boots

Boots is one fabulous marmalade cat, only about 1-2 years old! With that gorgeous red tabby coat, this cat is irresistible. Living in a foster home, Boots is getting lots of tender loving care, and good socialization, but would love a permanent loving home to call his own. Boots would prefer to be the only cat in the household, but plays well with the small dogs in his foster home. He also would do best in a household without small children.

Sadie

Sadie is a beautiful jet black sweetheart, about five years old, who loves to turn over and get her stomach rubbed. This lovely kitty is gentle and affectionate - a true lady. We think she will do best in a household with one or two adults who can give her the attention she deserves.

Willow

Willow is a 3 year old adorable tabby, who now resides in a wonderful foster home where she enjoys the dogs and other cats in the household. She is very sweet and affectionate, and will likely be a true lap cat. Willow loves to be petted, and enjoys all the human attention she can get. She will even Meow at you if you don't stop to give her a scratch.

Milo

Sweet, gentle Milo is about 1 1/2 years old now. He was found near an apartment building in Yonkers, NY, almost starving in the freezing cold. Even the tips of his ears had frost bite. Fed by kindly people and now residing in a foster home, he is getting lots of tender loving care and is a kitty who loves to be petted and will make a good companion in a family.

Patty

Patty (born in 2008) is a beautiful tuxedo. This sweet, quiet girl was given up by someone who moved into a home that did not allow cats. She is friendly with all and is comfortable with other cats.

Mandi

Mandi is a beautiful grey/white tabby, about a year old. She is very sweet with big gold eyes. She is such a ham for the camera - very playful, silly and friendly. She plays well with other cats and has a winsome personality. Mandi also has a strong streak of independence and knows her own mind.

Angus

Angus is a cream and white one year old male cat. Very sweet, this wonderful boy was tossed out onto the street when his family moved. Now living in a good foster home, he enjoys the company of the other cats and dogs, and gets along well with kids.

Willie

Willie is a handsome 5 month old kitten, very sweet and very playful. He was born with CH (cerebellar hypoplasia), a disorder that leads to some jerky movements and uncoordinated motion, but does not get worse with age. Willie doesn't let this stop him from being a healthy, happy kitty. He can use the litter box, move around well and is a bouncy, friendly kitten.

Grace

Grace is an adorable Torbie, very sweet and friendly, who loves to be petted. Rescued with her sister, Gina, she is a special kitty who would love to cuddle up to one very fortunate human.

Rembrandt

Rembrandt has the gentle soul of an artist. A handsome tabby with an irresistible smudge on his nose, he is a snuggler! Rembrandt would rather be hugged and kissed than have dinner. This master purrer must meditate because he is so mellow - you may only realize he is around when his head bumps your hand for a pet or he wraps around your ankles adoringly. Did we say he's REALLY affectionate? Rembrandt is quite bonded with his brother, Matisse (also available for adoption on this website) so they would prefer to stay together. Rembrandt was born around May 2013. He is fine with other cats, just keeping to himself, but unsure of dogs.

Bella

Bella is as beautiful as her name. This lovely 4 year old female is very friendly and great with dogs and children. She is a real sweetheart and will make a wonderful family companion.

Alex

Alex is an adorable little boy. He is a "CH" kitty, which means he has some neurological issues and is not all that steady on his feet. Despite that, he is a loving and playful little boy. He is the brother of Andy.

Bethany

Bethany is a one year old female orange kitty, rescued recently from kids who were mistreating this sweetheart. She came through the trauma well, though with some battle wounds, and is an absolute love! Living in a great foster home now, where she is with other cats, dogs and kids too.

Lisa

Lisa is a charming tuxedo cat for all you tuxedo fans. She is very sweet and loves to be tickled. This beauty was found on the bitter cold streets in a January snow storm. She is a true survivor. Lisa is in a great foster home where she gets along with other cats, dogs and kids.

Little Mindi

Little Mindi is a 7 month old black female kitten with deep copper eyes. She was found by a kind and caring person walking down the middle of the street skinny and starving. This super affectionate kitty loves life and is full of feline curiousity! She now resides in a great foster home where she get along well with the other cats, kids and dogs too.

Bobby

Bobby is a handsome grey and white male bobtail cat. Found as a stray, this very sweet five year old boy is now happily residing in a foster home where he gets along well with other cats, dogs and kids too! He's in great health and ready for a permanent home.

Cole

Cole will steal your heart in unexpected ways - and you won't mind! This handsome black kitty with the sparkling white spot starts by acting coy, training his human to coax him with treats. In reality, Cole enjoys being fussed over and purrs up a storm. He plays his hilarious versions of basketball and volley ball, has incredible paw/eye coordination in a game of catch (always catches toys mid-air!) and has jet speed in chasing toys. A helpful kitten, Cole is fascinated by flowers and "assists" with pruning and arranging them. He loves other cats and is fine with polite dogs. Cole would thrive in a quieter home and really craves a cat playmate. He was born around August 2013.

Flora

"Sweet and petite" fits Flora to a "T". She's an easy girl who loves people and, as her foster family discovered, she'd be happy to cuddle and sleep on your bed. She gets along with other cats but may need some time to get used to dogs. She was found wandering the street and was obviously dumped as she was clearly someone's pet. We think Flora is about a year and a half old.

Mars

Mars is aptly named with his red tabby coloring. About 6 months old and the brother to Morgan, he resides in a foster home with other cats and dogs, whom he enjoys. Mars is very sweet, playful and one wonderful boy!

Joannie

Joannie is a charming, quiet lady with beautiful coloring, approximately 4-5 years old. This petite sweetheart is sweet, affectionate and warms to a gentle touch. She is in excellent health and up to date with all vaccinations, just waiting for her forever home.

Ochocinco

This well mannered 4 year old brown tabby male was found in an alley starving. With tender loving care, Ochocinco is now a plump and healthy little boy. We can tell he was once someone's pet, and he would certainly like to be back in a home to call his very own with humans who will care for him.

Scarlett

Scarlett is a very sweet & adorable cat with big golden eyes. She is fine with other cats, and get along with dogs too. A little shy at first, if you have treats, she will follow you everywhere. This marvelous lady has a true sweet nature that comes through in no time at all.

Roz

Roz, long, with an elegant Egyptian profile, gets along with everyone and keeps busy playing with toys and enjoying window views if she is not rolling over to be stroked. She will make a loving family companion without being over demanding. Roz was brought to us late one night after being taken out of a cramped cage in a NJ pound where she was not going to be given a chance.

Frankie

Frankie is a 11 months old orange tabby male, who was left in a sealed box on the doorstep with a note "please take are of him, he's an inside cat & never been out". He now resides in a wonderful foster home with other cats, as well as dogs, and gets lots of tender loving care. Lively and perky,he is a real prize.

Snowflake

Snowflake (Siamese mix) is a charmer and a survivor This little beauty was found on a Yonkers street, after having been thrown off a roof by some cruel children. She suffered neurological problems from this horrible treatment, but this tough little lady has recuperated beautifully. She still has the "wobbles", though she always manages to get to wherever she wants to go, including the litter box. Her impaired nerve condition will not get worse. Snowflake is enthusiastic about people and loves to play -- especially boxing. In her foster home, Snowflake loves climbing the stairs. Come meet her and we know you'll want to take her home.

Ashley

Ashley is an 18 months old black/white tuxedo female. Fiesty and playful, Ashley was left behind in an apartment when her owner moved. This active, intelligent cat is in great health, up to date with all vaccinations and will make a fun addition to your household.

Naomi

This lovely cat raised 5 kittens who have all been adopted and now Naomi is eager to find a loving home of her own. Naomi is a tall, gentle calico with beautiful markings. She's a bit shy until she feels safe and very affectionate once she knows you. Naomi is a year old, up to date on shots, spayed and micro chipped. Her bright green eyes always seem to be smiling and she gets along very well with other cats.

Paula

Paula is the sweetest, friendliest cat you can imagine. She rolls over for belly rubs, brushes up against you and loves to cuddle. A true mush! To meet her is to love her. Paula is about 2 years old and gets along well with other cats. She once resided in a foster home where she became accustomed to dogs, as well.

Melissa

Melissa is a very sweet young tabby, about 6-7 months old. She only has one eye but moves around beautifully, and is a happy, playful kitten. Melissa will cuddle up on the bed with her human, and be a source of comfort.

Foster a Cat!

Thinking of adopting but not sure you are ready for the commitment? Want to save a life and be rewarded in wagging tails? Try fostering and become a part of Westchester Magazine's Best Animal Rescue Group 2008.

We are in need of foster homes, especially for litters of kittens but also adult cats as well. We provide basic supplies, veterinary care, and guidance. You provide love and a warm home.

Violet

Violet is one adorable kitty, very sweet and friendly with a cute little pink nose and pretty grey and white coat. This sweetheart came to us with her kittens, all who have been adopted. Violet loves people, enjoys being petted, and now it's her time to find a loving, permanent home.

Boo

Boo is a sweet 1 year old boy. Living outside he was brought in with a broken leg. Over the last 8 weeks as his leg healed, Boo became a loving, purring inside cat only. He loves other cats and would be best suited in a home with another cat who will be his cuddle buddy. Boo loves to be held, have his belly rubbed and to play. With his cast now off, Boo will have a limp due to his injury, but he gets along just fine. He is a survivor.

Matisse

Matisse is one silly tabby! He may survey his surroundings quietly at first, but he's just sizing things up for his exploration. Matisse finds humans fun to follow and very useful as warm places to sleep. Walk by and forget to pet him? Not likely - Matisse makes himself known with a loud purr and ensures he is acknowledged, even tilting his nose up for a kiss. He is a fierce hunter of toy mice and catnip happy socks. Matisse is good with cats and dogs. He is bonded with his brother, Rembrandt (also available on this website) and would prefer to stay with him Matisse was born around May 2013.

Kyle

Kyle is a 10 month old tuxedo boy, born in late March 2013. He is one super mooshy kitty who just loves to play and snuggle. Living in a great foster home, Kyle loves the other cats, dogs and kids. He will be a great family cat.

Jay

Jay (born in 2008) is a beautiful male black and white cat who is very sweet and friendly with humans. This handsome boy loves to be petted and brushed. He truly enjoys human contact, very people oriented, and is a fun cat to be around. Jay has a mellow nature and even disposition and will be a delightful addition to your family, as long as he is the only cat in the household.

Krissy

Krissy is a fabulous looking Maine Coon mix kitty, about 2 years old. She will look at you with her large, sparkling eyes and you will be intrigued. Krissy is a reserved cat, not a cuddler at this time, but responds to a patient human who appreciates this proud lady. She enjoys interactive toys and is friendly with other cats. Krissy would do best in an adult household without young children.

Sneakers

Sneakers is a lively tabby and white 4 year old male with a super affectionate personality. Up to date with all vaccinations, neutered and in excellent health, Sneakers would do best as the only cat in the household, but he gets along very well with dogs. He is one active, sociable kitty and is a fun cat to be around.

Squirrel

This lively one year old brown tabby female is really, really fun and affectionate too! You can tell just by looking at her that Squirrel is one live wire with lots of spunk. Her owner no longer wanted her and put her outside where fortunately she was rescued by a caring person. She now resides in a wonderful foster home with other cats and dogs too! Squirrel is in great health and up to date with all vaccinations.

Amanda

Amanda is a beautiful girl rescued from the streets by one of our volunteers just before Hurricane Sandy. She was a shy girl who has blossomed and come out of her shell thanks to lots of love. She is friendly now and loves to be petted. Amanda is ready for a home of her own!

Courtney

Beautiful like a painting, Courtney is a lovely Tortoiseshell, about a year old and very sweet. She came to us by showing up at the workplace of one of our key volunteers (one smart kitty)who simply couldn't resist her. Courtney has the independent nature so prized in torties, but she gets along well with other cats.

Mindy

Mindy is an adorable tabby with very thick, dense fur and striking markings with a cute pink nose. She is fun, friendly, playful and outgoing with a very strong personality. She is independent by nature and knows her own mind.

Rosie

Rosie is a beautiful girl, about 5 years old. This sweetie came to Pet Rescue after her owner was evicted. She is a little shy and confused right now after losing her home but very sweet nonetheless. She would do fine in a home with other cats ( as long as they are not too bossy as that would overwhelm her).
