Pinta

Pinta - meaning "Painted One" is sure to paint a smile on your face just watching her play by herself. She loves to toss her stuffed toy in the air, run like the wind and catch it with her paws or hold it in her mouth as she rolls around in the grass. We don't know much about her past but what we do know is that Pinta lived on a chain down south. As a result, she did not have much exposure to people, places or things. A number of volunteers have worked wonders with Pinta and is doing much better when meeting strangers. She is approximately 3 yrs old, 55lbs., housebroken, knows basic commands and has recently worked with a certified trainer in mastering her leash commands. Pinta is a beautiful Lab/Husky mix who would do best in a quiet adult only home without cats and you should know she does love to chase her squirrel friends. Please only apply for Pinta if you have prior dog experience. She would not be good for a first time dog owner since she needs ongoing training with an experienced handler. A home in the country, a couple of 1/2 hour walks a day and a yard and she is set to go. Pinta settles in nicely and likes to hang out in a quiet setting, this type of home seems to suit her needs nicely and she will give you lots of kisses in return. Once she is secure with her human companion, she is your best friend.
